Do Not Buy A Kia!!!!ĬonsumerAffairs is not a government agency. 1 star is the lowest it would let me rate them. If I could rate the maker and the dealership with how this was handled, it would be a 0. ![]() They will not acknowledge the defect, the warranty, or responsibility. Even though the car is under the 10 year, 100,000 mile Warranty. ![]() The plastic binders, the bottom of the trunk, and the spare tire space did not burn. Some water bottles, Sprite bottles and the empty bag of cat food that were placed on the day before burned. The wires, the trunk door, the cloth covering over the top of the trunk, and back window burned. The car was locked and both keys were with me. My car caught fire in the parking where I work in Southern Louisiana while I was in Northern Mississippi on the job. ![]() I am now left stranded not getting reimbursed for the rental vehicle I have, Not getting repairs and still having to pay my car note for my vehicle that's been sitting on the lot no one has offered me any real help and as a customer of 3 years I am not satisfied and will go to the highest level of corporate to resolve my issue.Īfter 2 months of going back and forth, Kia corporate determined they can not find what caused the electrical fire. I am very disappointed in Kia service dept and I want answers as to the real denial and how Kia can help me resolve this issue. I have never had to experience or go through something as such and then I am told it will cost $3200 to repair for a new engine on top of paying my car note for it to sit at the dealership lot. No one seems to care I guess because it's not coming out of their pockets. I have been spending money on a rental vehicle for 2 months. After calling again I was then told I can't speak with the advisor who made the decision. I was then told to email to get in contact with the advisor the advisor never emailed me back nor called. Our tester came standard with a multiview rearview camera and an infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Pandora compatibility, HondaLink, and two USB ports. The black interior with cross-hatched seat and door panel fabric is also unique to the Sport. Inside, the Sport distinguishes itself with orange accent stitching on the seats, center armrest, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and shift knob. The big news is the Fit's new Sport trim (the trim we tested), which adds a black front spoiler with orange trim, a rear three-strake diffuser with an upper orange trim, sporty side skirts, gloss black 16-inch alloy wheels, foglights, and a chrome exhaust finisher. Tech is improved with the addition of Honda Sensing, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Helios Yellow and Orange Fury (our tester's color) join the color palette. The Versa Note managed a four-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA and received Good scores in the same four IIHS crash tests, but it does not offer automatic emergency braking or any driver-assist features.įor 2018, Honda updated the Fit's styling with redesigned front and rear fascias, a reworked grille, and new wheel designs. (IIHS' two small-overlap front crash tests were not conducted.) When equipped with Honda Sensing (standard on the EX and EX-L trims), the Fit received the highest rating of Superior for the front crash prevention evaluation by avoiding 12- and 25-mph frontal collisions. In NHTSA testing, the Honda Fit received the highest overall safety rating of five stars, and it received the highest rating, Good, in four of the IIHS' crash tests. Honda Sensing helps keep you out of trouble with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a lane centering system, and lane departure assist. On the safety side, our Sport tester did not come with any driver-assist tech, but Honda Sensing is available as an option, even with the six-speed manual on the EX trim (the CVT offers it on LX and Sport and makes it standard on EX and EX-L)-some automakers do not offer driver-assist tech with manual transmissions. ![]()
